who am i?

i’m a designer with a 3D printer in the cupboard at home.

it’s a pretty nice 3D printer as 3D printers go and i’ve been doing this for a while.

wanna know about the technology? basically, it’s a box that eats plastic and shits products.

why lolprintz4u? i didn’t wanna trash my brand as a designer by making any old crap for cash, so i made a crap brand instead. don’t get me wrong, i’ll do a good job at making the thing you want.

FAQs

  • about 22cm^3, give or take.

  • kinda. currently i can print with 4 colours at the same time. if i’m not in stock of a particular colour material it may take a few days longer.

  • depends. i’ll try and get back to you in a day or so with a quote and lead time. most prints will be ready in a few days and shipped after that, but can take longer.

  • no, i’m just the 3D print guy. if you’d like your model painted you’ll have to do that yourself or i can put you in touch with artists who are good at finishing.

  • typically ill print with pla, but petg, abs or tpu are also possible. if you need something particularly strong or flexible let me know and we can discuss options.

  • kinda. the most common material i use is pla, which is a plant based polymer and is biodegradable*. other plastics available are fossil fuel based, which sucks. i don’t currently offset my energy use, but we can talk about that if it’s important to you.

*sort of biodegradable. with the right industrial processes, yes, but i wouldn’t stick it in your compost bin.

  • no.

    • i’m not gonna do firearms, weapons or even parts for firearms and weapons.

    • if you don’t have permission from the ip owner to reproduce the design, you shouldn’t have it printed. (FYI, it’s your responsibility to check if you have permission)

    • the technology, although really flexible, does have technical limitations. i’ll let you know if it can’t be done and what modifications may need to be made.

generally speaking, i can print most things. whatever you want i’ll give it a go, so long as it’s not a gun, stolen or straight up impossible.

  • uk.

  • i’ll take a look at the 3D file and calculate how much material, energy and labour it will take, add on some profit then give you a price for the whole job. there’s no fixed price list, i’ll give you a quote each time. i’ll calculate shipping and packaging separately and let you know that too. if I can bring the cost down by either batching it with someone else’s order or changing the material I will suggest that to you if i can.
